Marinated Red Onions


  • 1 large red onion
  • 2tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1tsp dry oregano
  • 100-125ml extra virgin olive oil


  1. Slice the onion in rings or half-rings.
  2. Place in a bowl and pour the olive oil to completely cover the onions.
  3. Add the vinegar and the oregano, mix well and leave on the kitchen top for up to two days. You can use the onions after 12h of marinating.
  4. Use the remaining olive oil as a salad dressing.
