Cinnamon Poached Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 apples

  • 1tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Method

  • Wash and chopped the apples, removing the core.
  • Placed the chopped apples in a pan and pour appox. 2cm of boiling water, the water should not quite cover the apples.
  • Cover the lid and simmer for 7-10min on a low-to-medium heat until the apples are soft.
  • Add the spices a minute before you switch off the heat.
  • Serve hot or cold with flaked almonds and/or natural yogurt.
